Tax residency for remote employees
This is the hardest profile to relocate cleanly, and the honest answer is that it depends on your employer as much as on you. Payroll withholding, social security and the risk that your presence creates a taxable presence for the company are all live questions, and none of them are yours alone to decide. It is often workable. It is rarely workable without telling them.
Why the home system treats you badly
Your salary is withheld at source by a payroll system built on the assumption that you live where you were hired. Change that assumption and several things move at once: which country may tax the employment income, which social security system covers you, and whether your day-to-day work from a new country gives your employer a presence there. That last one is their exposure, not yours, which is exactly why it cannot be solved quietly.
Which destination fits
Thailand
Possible where the employment relationship is genuinely restructured or the employer is set up for it. The DTV is designed for foreign-source income, which employment income from a foreign employer can be — but the employer side has to be resolved first, not assumed.
Paraguay
The same employer questions apply. Paraguay removes the remittance timing problem but not the payroll and social security ones, because those live in the relationship rather than the destination.
What usually complicates it for you

- You are moving. Your family is not. — I am moving but my partner or children are staying
